Southern California Percocet Addiction Treatment

TRUSTED SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT IN CALIFORNIA

Percocet Addiction

an introduction

Percocet is a prescription painkiller and opioid drug made up of a combination of oxycodone and acetaminophen. It is used for moderate to severe pain. The drug alters how your brain and nervous system react to pain and is not intended for extended use in most cases.

Generally, Percocet is prescribed when:

  • A person requires a short-term prescription (e.g., three days’ worth after an operation).
  • Pain is severe enough to require opioid pain medication, and alternative treatment choices aren’t sufficient.

While the world did not always know what the effects of prescription Opioids like Percocet would be, we now know that they come with serious risks. The FDA is calling for further warnings on the drug due to the Opioid crisis and other hazards that can occur when a person takes Percocet.

The body develops a tolerance to Percocet quickly. Serious side effects can occur when an individual takes Percocet, including but not limited to dependency, withdrawals upon discontinuation, and life-threatening respiratory depression.

Detox

Getting off of Percocet and other Opioid drugs can come with severe withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Detoxification is a level of care designed to help you get off of drugs and alcohol safely with the help of medical staff. Atlas Healthcare Group’s detoxification or “detox” program provides 24/7 supervision and access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which can help prevent relapse. Generally, clients attend detox as a precursor to another level of care, like residential inpatient or PHP.

Residential Inpatient

Residential inpatient programs are the most intensive level of care used in addiction and mental health treatment settings. In residential inpatient treatment at Atlas Healthcare Group, you will eat, sleep, and live at your treatment facility for the duration of your program. Your daily schedule will consist of groups, individual counseling, other activities, and time to rest and reflect. The benefits of residential inpatient treatment include 24/7 access to medical staff, on-site amenities, a wide range of therapies, treatments, and activities, and an opportunity to immerse yourself in the healing process.

Partial Hospitalization

Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) is the next step below residential inpatient. Also called partial day, PHP is the highest level of outpatient care. Rather than live on-site, our PHP clients commute to Atlas for treatment 3-5 days per week and leave when treatment is over for the day. Your treatment schedule in PHP will be slightly less time-consuming than that of a client in residential inpatient treatment, but you will engage in many of the same therapies and treatment activities. PHP requires that clients attend treatment for more hours per week than IOP, so it is more intensive and can be an alternative to residential inpatient care.

Intensive Outpatient

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is the next step below PHP. In IOP, you will attend therapy and groups for at least ten hours per week but return home at the end of the day. Since IOP requires a lower time commitment than PHP and provides more flexibility, it can be ideal for those who need to work, go to school, or fulfill other obligations while in treatment.

Outpatient

Outpatient programs are the least intensive form of addiction treatment. In addiction treatment, outpatient services are often used as an aftercare plan for those who have completed PHP, IOP, or residential inpatient treatment for their addiction. However, it can also be used as an initial form of care or to avoid and mitigate relapse. Outpatient treatment is very flexible. The time commitment is lower than PHP or IOP and will depend on the specific treatments you choose to pursue or continue, such as individual therapy sessions, groups, and medication management.

I didn’t know it was possible to get sober until I went to silicon beach treatment center. They give you excellent support and have amazing communication with you at all times. The person who helped me out the most was Stephen Carr, the administration director. He was so genuine, down to earth and gave me motivation and inspiration every single day, but even on the days that I didn’t want it. He support me on my journey every step of the way and I couldn’t thank him enough till this day. I tried for 2 years to get sober and now I am already 10 months sober !

They will always have a place in my heart and if you are looking for help this is by far one of the best places there is out there.

Silicon is a great program. From the Clinical Director, Alisha (Ali) to House Managers like Stephen Castel, everyone cares and genuinely wants to help you recover in whatever ways they can. The sober livings are clean and spacious, and don’t feel crowded like housing in treatment often does. Groceries are provided with client input on what we like and want for the house
